Bowron Lake Provincial Park is a large wilderness area on the western slopes of the Cariboo Mountain Range, approximately 120 km east of Quesnel, BC. The park features the world-renowned 116 km Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit (6–10 days) with over 100 km of paddling and 10.8 km of portaging, along with a 25-unit drive-in campground. Accommodation includes rustic log cabins (4 persons each), designated tent sites ranging from 1.5–4 metres square, picnic shelters with wood stoves, and bear-proof caches. The circuit attracts intermediate-to-advanced paddlers and is known for fishing (bull trout, kokanee, rainbow and lake trout), swimming on sandy beaches, hiking, and year-round wildlife viewing.
