Bowron Lake Park is a large wilderness area on the western slopes of the Cariboo Mountain Range located approximately 120km east of Quesnel, British Columbia. The park offers both a 25-unit frontcountry drive-in campground near the registration centre and a renowned 116km Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit with designated backcountry campsites. The park features tremendous diversity of topography and vegetation, with recreational opportunities including canoeing, kayaking, fishing (bull trout, kokanee, rainbow trout, lake trout), hiking, swimming, winter cross-country skiing, and hunting during open seasons. Individual parties are limited to 6 people on a first-come first-served basis, while group parties of 7-14 people receive pre-assigned campsites with managed daily schedules. (via official site)
