Campamento del Pasochoa

Pasochoa (4,200 metres) is an extinct volcano located in the Guayllabamba river basin in the Ecuadorian Andes. The current mountain form is a collapsed crater with a semicircular shape. Le Pasochoa est un volcan éteint qui s'élève à 4 199 m dans les Andes, dans la province de Pichincha en Équateur. La forme actuelle de la montagne est un cratère effondré de forme semi-circulaire. Cette structure est apparue il y a environ 100 000 ans après une éruption qui a détruit le cratère et le versant occidental du cône volcanique précédent.

Das Refugio de Vida Silvestre Pasochoa befindet sich 25 km südlich vom Stadtzentrum der ecuadorianischen Hauptstadt Quito. Das 6,19 km² große Schutzgebiet wurde im Jahr 1996 eingerichtet. Es wurde anfangs von Fundacion Natura betreut.
