Die Heimkehle im Harz ist eine von zwei großen Gipshöhlen Deutschlands, die als Schauhöhlen zugänglich sind. Sie liegt östlich von Nordhausen bei Uftrungen, auf der Grenze zwischen Thüringen und Sachsen-Anhalt. Die Höhle wurde in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus als Waffen-Produktionsstätte ausgebaut und genutzt, wobei KZ-Häftlinge eingesetzt wurden – viele starben.
