Loch Alvie is a loch located north of the River Spey, in the civil parish of Alvie, in the council area of Highland, Scotland. The loch is about two miles southwest of Aviemore. HMS Loch Alvie, launched in 1944, is named after the loch.
Craigellachie is a hill lying to the west of the village of Aviemore in Strathspey, in the central Highlands of Scotland. Craigellachie was declared a national nature reserve (NNR) in 1961, and is managed by NatureScot through a lease from Reidhaven Estate.
