The Miniature Pony Centre was a farm tourist attraction based in the Dartmoor National Park, near Moretonhampstead. In 2023, it permanently closed as a result of the cost of living crisis in the UK. Butterdon Hill is on Dartmoor, in southwest England. The remains of a small stone circle and a stone row can be found on the summit. The name Butterdon is believed to derive an Old English word for "pasture".

Bridford is a village and civil parish in south west England, located in the Teign Valley, Devon on the edge of Dartmoor. The parish is surrounded (clockwise from the north) by the parishes of Dunsford, Doddiscombsleigh, Christow, and Moretonhampstead. At the 2011 census the population of the parish was 503, compared with 404 in 1901.
