De Hengst is een geheel bestaande uit drie zandplaten dat gelegen is ten noordoosten van Texel en ten zuiden van Vlieland, twee Nederlandse Waddeneilanden die in het westelijke deel van de Waddenzee liggen. De Hengst bestaat uit de zandplaat Hengst zelf, die het grootste deel van het gebied beslaat, de Steenplaat, die een langwerpige zandplaat in het noordwesten van het gebied vormt, en de Ballast
Le parc national Duinen van Texel (néerlandais : Nationaal Park Duinen van Texel) comprend les dunes (duinen = dunes) de la côte ouest de Texel. Les plages du sud et de la pointe nord de l'île font partie du parc. Ce domaine protégé fait environ 43 km2. Il a reçu le statut officiel de parc national au printemps 2002.
