Der Leuchtturm Amrum steht im Süden der nordfriesischen Insel Amrum, etwa 2 km westlich von Wittdün auf der 25 Meter hohen Großen Düne, gehört jedoch zur Gemeinde Nebel und ist eines der Wahrzeichen der Insel. Ebenfalls auf Amrum befinden sich der Leuchtturm Norddorf, der Leuchtturm Nebel und der stillgelegte Leuchtturm Wittdün. Das Leitfeuer Wriakhörn wurde 2016 abgetragen.
Der Kniepsand, früher Knipsand ist eine extrem langsam wandernde Sandbank in der Nordsee. Sie liegt westlich der schleswig-holsteinischen Insel Amrum und nimmt eine Fläche von rund 10 km² ein. Vom Amt Föhr-Amrum wird die Fläche von Amrum mit und ohne Kniepsand angegeben . Da das Gebiet gewöhnlich nicht überflutet wird, handelt es sich um einen Hochsand.
