Fredriksten er en festning i Halden. Der festningen ligger i dag ble det i årene 1640-45 bygget mindre forsvarsverk i forbindelse med Hannibalfeiden. Selve Fredriksten festning ble påbegynt i 1661 og er oppkalt etter den dansk-norske kongen Frederik III (1609–1670). Festningen ble beleiret hele seks ganger, men aldri inntatt.
