Recherche is a rural locality on the shore of Recherche Bay in the local government area of Huon Valley in the South-east region of Tasmania. It is located about 78 kilometres (48 mi) south-west of the town of Huonville. The 2016 census recorded a population of 8 for the state suburb of Recherche.
La baie de la Recherche (en anglais : Recherche Bay) est une baie situé à l'extrémité sud-ouest de la Tasmanie, en Australie. Elle fut découverte par l'expédition d'Entrecasteaux de 1793 chargée de retrouver l'explorateur Jean-François de La Pérouse. Elle doit son nom à La Recherche, une des deux frégates de l'expédition.
