Das Naturschutzgebiet mit dem Kennzeichen NSG WE 036 war 13,6 Hektar groß. Es war Bestandteil des FFH-Gebietes „Untere Haseniederung“. Das Gebiet stand seit dem 13. Januar 1940 unter Naturschutz.
