Lodgepole is a higher elevation campground on Highway 410 close to the Northwest entrance to Mt Rainier National Park. It features the American River, which being close to the headwaters is a slow, peaceful meandering river in which you might see ducks, a variety of fish species and if you are lucky, river otter. Lodgepole Campground is named for the Lodgepole Pine trees you will find in abundance giving a unique look to this mountain site.Lodgepole Campground offers several standard sites, accommodating both tent and RV camping.
