Ochlockonee River State Park is a Florida State Park located in Wakulla County, Florida, south of the town of Sopchoppy in the Florida Panhandle. Located off U.S. 319 on the Ochlockonee River, just north of the Gulf of Mexico coast, it is surrounded by the Apalachicola National Forest and the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, and provides an important habitat for the endangered red-cockaded wood
The Sopchoppy Depot is a former railway station in Sopchoppy, Florida. It was constructed by the Carrabelle, Tallahassee and Georgia Railroad in 1894 and spurred development of the town. The rail line passed to the Georgia Florida and Alabama Railroad beginning in 1906. The Seaboard Airline Railroad took over the GF&A in 1927. Passenger service ceased in 1946.
