La Chapelle-en-Valgaudémar (Occitan: La Capèla) is a commune in the Hautes-Alpes department in southeastern France. It was created in 1963 by the merger of two former communes: Guillaume-Peyrouse and Clémence-d'Ambel.
Le parc national des Écrins est un parc national français créé en 1973, après avoir été préfiguré dès 1913. Il est situé dans les Alpes, s'étendant sur une grande partie du massif des Écrins avec pour sommet éponyme la barre des Écrins culminant à 4 102 m d'altitude.
