萩尾公園は、「野鳥、紅葉、冒険」をテーマに、広く市民に親しまれる公園を目指しており、水鳥が遊ぶ池の近くにはソメイヨシノが440本程植えられ、桜の名所として市内外から多くの方が訪れています。また、サッカーやグラウンドゴルフなど様々なスポーツに利用できる自由広場やソフトボール場、トレイルランニングコースなどがあります。更に夏休みにはキャンプ場を開設するなど休日には多くの方に利用されています。 (via site)
