Der Sunderberg ist eine Erhebung nordöstlich von Freren, am Rande des Alt-Frerener Forstes. Seine Höhe liegt zwischen durchschnittlich 51 m ü. NHN bis maximal 64 m ü. NHN. Das Gelände ist seit Jahrhunderten in Privatbesitz und wird überwiegend landwirtschaftlich genutzt.
Schloss Fürstenau in Fürstenau ist eine ehemalige Landesburg des Hochstifts Osnabrück, die im 14. Jahrhundert gegründet wurde und im 16./17. Jahrhundert als Residenz des Fürstbischofs diente. Es wird als Verwaltungssitz der Stadt und Samtgemeinde Fürstenau genutzt.
