Das Alt-Segeberger Bürgerhaus war bereits Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts bekannt als das älteste Haus der Stadt Segeberg und ist heute eines der wenigen erhaltenen kleinstädtischen Bürgerhäuser Schleswig-Holsteins aus der beginnenden Frühen Neuzeit. Der Kalkberg ist ein 91 m hoher Felsen im Zentrum von Bad Segeberg, der nicht dem Namen entsprechend aus Kalkstein (Calciumcarbonat), sondern oberflächennah aus Gips und im Kern unverwittert aus Anhydrit besteht.
