Openluchtmuseum Ellert en Brammert is een openluchtmuseum in Schoonoord over de cultuurhistorie van Zuidoost-Drenthe.
De Poolshoogte is een heuvel met uitkijktoren aan de Boswachter Meelkerlaan in boswachterij Odoorn in de gemeente Borger-Odoorn, in de Nederlandse provincie Drenthe.
Een Toeristisch Overstappunt (TOP) is een 'natuurlijk knooppunt', waar diverse fiets-, vaar-, skate- en wandelroutes beginnen. Bij elke TOP geeft een informatiepaneel met kaarten van de omgeving en borden de juiste richting naar de verschillende routes. De TOP's zijn meestal gesitueerd bij gratis parkeerplaatsen; sommige zijn bij een NS-station geplaatst, zodat ook treinreizigers van de TOP gebrui
Het Haantjeduin wordt met ruim 31 m boven NAP algemeen beschouwd als de hoogste natuurlijke heuvel van Drenthe. Het is tevens de meest zuidelijke hoogte van de Hondsrug. Of het werkelijk het hoogste natuurlijke punt van de provincie is, valt te bezien. Ten zuidoosten van Exloo aan de rand van het Molenveld zijn enkele stuifduinen die vrijwel dezelfde hoogte hebben en wellicht hoger zijn.
