Hjálparfoss er foss neðarlega í Fossá í Þjórsárdal. Fossinn er tvöfaldur og eru stuðlabergsmyndanir í kringum hann. Nafnið kom til þegar ferðir yfir Sprengisand voru tíðari og ferðalangar fundu gras handa hrossum sínum og hægt var að brynna þeim á öðru en jökulvatni.

Þjófafoss er foss í Þjórsá, við Merkurhraun og austur af Búrfelli. Tröllkonuhlaup eru rétt austan Þjófafoss. Nafnið er tilkomið af því að þjófum var drekkt þar. Fossinn er um 11 m hár. Gljúfur Þjórsár neðan við fossinn er grafið niður í Tungnárhraunin, sem þarna mynda þykkan hraunastafla. Sjá má fjögur þeirra í suðurvegg gljúfursins. Neðst er Þjórsárhraunið mikla, þá koma Sigölduhraun og D-hraunið
